Recorded June 8, 2008. Richard became quite ill prior to recording this episode. He had trouble walking, and he could barely talk. The audio had to be tweaked a bit to bring out his voice. However, all of us rejoiced in seeing him.
Richard talks about Sarah in this episode. He notes how she recognizes God’s faithfulness. Richard reminds us how God remains faithful, and how God meets our needs. All we are asked in return is to remain faithful to God.
i did run into a few technical problems producing this episode. As many people already know, Richard’s voice was almost gone when we recorded “Faithfulness.” Enhancing the audio to make him intelligible proved more challenging than i expected. One cool thing about all this is i may have discovered a new program that will make setting ID3 tags much easier for me. Your favorite podcatchaer (e.g. iTunes) uses ID3 tags to display basic information about each episode in a podcast series.
God willing, we will have another episode of “From Richard’s Heart” available in about two weeks.

Recorded May 25, 2008. God has given us a wonderful gift. Through the sacrifice of Jesus our sins (wrongdoing) are not only forgen, but God chooses to remember them no more. This gives us cause for great joy and happiness in our lives.
Richard looks at Hebrews 10:16-17. He celebrates the fact that God not only forgives us, he also forgets our sins too.
This episode is the first one Richard did after his hospitalization. He is still recovering from his illness, but we have cause for joy that he did worship with us on May 25. All of us are grateful for the prayers offered on his and Karen’s behalf.
Many of us face very serious adversity in our lives. We have health concerns, aging parents who require more care, stressful jobs, uncertain housing, etc. Yet, we have cause for joy. Listen to “Cause for Joy” and subscribe to ”From Richard’s Heart“ on our podcast page.

Recorded May 11, 2008. In honor of Mother’s Day, we share things that made our moms special to us. Our mothers gave sacrificially, prepared for the future, made us laugh, endured our intense dislike, and above all loved us. Richard reminds us that honoring our mothers and fathers pleases God. All of us owe a great debt to our moms.
i consider this an extra special podcast episode. i’ve listened to everyone’s comments regarding their mothers over 100 times while editing this episode. All i can say is wow, what a wonderful tribute to our mothers. All of us have good reason to thank God each day for the love our moms gave us during our lifetime.
By the way, this is episode five of our podcast series. This represents a milestone in the podcasting world. Most new podcasts never last beyond five episodes. i understand why. Producing each episode requires a tremendous amount of work. Many new podcasters lose interest in producing a regular show around the third or fourth episode.
Lord willing, i still plan on producing a new episode of “From Richard’s Heart” about every two weeks. i would love to do a weekly podcast, but so far i haven’t figured out how to record Richard during the weeks i can’t be in church. i also don’t know where i would find the time to edit the recordings. Nevertheless, i am praying for a way to record episodes during the weeks i can’t be in church.
For those of you who are inclined to pray, pray for Richard’s health. Pray also that Richard and i remain open to appropriate material for this podcast series. Finally, pray for God’s blessing as we continue to produce this podcast over the summer months.

Recorded April 27, 2008. We had a mountaintop experience on April 20, 2008. The Jubilate Sacred Singers helped make our worship service extra special. That Sunday we floated on top of the world filled with joy.
Invariably when we experience mountaintop experiences, life’s storms hit us hard. We find ourselves unable to cope. We begin to sink in a sea of helplessness and hopelessness.
In this episode, Richard talks about this kind of experience in our lives. He will do this by taking a closer look at Matthew 14 and Mark 6.

Recorded April 13, 2008. This week our guest host is Steve Gortz. He asks if we had to pick three heroes, who would they be? Steve mentions three of his heroes, Brian Piccolo, Lou Gehrig, and Tom Cooper. The first two heroes are well known professional athletes who died from cancer and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Tom is an ordinary person who showed everyone Christ’s spirit by his daily life. Tom also has a terminal illness, but Tom’s life witness shows us how Christ brings each of us a happy ending.

Recorded March 16, 2008. Richard Groh talks about fasting and how it can super charge our prayer life. He shows how the early church used fasting to help them know, understand, and do God’s will. While there are different kinds of fasting, fasting can help us show God our sincerity in being obedient to His leading.

Welcome to our brand new web server. Well new for us anyway. We are a small group of Christian believers who celebrate the power of God’s love in our lives. Over the weeks and months to come i hope this web site will be an area where the friends and members of our church can share their Christian walk and offer praise for what God has done through our church community.
